SOLD – VERIZON WIRELESS – COLUMBIA, TENNESSEE
J.H. Winokur, Inc. is pleased to announce the closing of the sale of a net lease Verizon Wireless located in Columbia, Tennessee. The property is situated on a corner lot of the southeast corner of the intersection of State Route 50, a heavily traveled commercial thoroughfare in the area. The site is located approximately 1/2 miles west of Route 31, a primary north-south road that provides access to I-65. The Verizon abuts an Aldi grocery store and the two properties share access from both Route 50 and 245. It is a 1/2 mile west along Route 50, of the Columbia Mall and a 230,000 square foot Wal-Mart Supercenter. The Columbia Mall, is a 282,272 square foot enclosed regional mall anchored by Sears, JC Penney and Peebles. The mall was built in 1981 and is the largest mall between Franklin, Tennessee and Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Verizon Wireless is an investment grade credit tenant. The lease is a corporate Verizon with a Cellco Partnership guarantee. Cellco is the largest wireless company in Europe. In the U.S. they are a 50/50 partner with Verizon Communications and operate as Verizon Wireless, the largest wireless operator in the United States. Verizon had already extended the original lease twice, demonstrating a longterm commitment to the site.
