The Alaska Eye Surgery Center is considered among Alaska’s most modern health care facilities. The Alaska Lasik & Cataract Center has been leading the way in innovation and technology in the state for over 20 years. The Joint Commission (aka TJC or JCAHO) approved the Alaska Eye Surgery and Laser Center for deemed status with Medicare/Medicaid. The facility also successfully passed Alaska Department of Health and Social Services inspections and Life Safety inspections, receiving license to perform surgery. Alaska Eye Surgery and Laser Center currently houses an excimer laser, a femtosecond laser, slit lamp, a Leica M690 microscope with assistant scope, a slit lamp, surgical lighting and a new Alcon Infiniti/Ozil phacoemulsification machine with three hand pieces. J.H. Winokur sold the real estate on behalf of physician ownership to a private investor under the terms of a single long-term absolute NNN master lease. The master lease allows the tenant to have future flexibility for its many business entities and separate business lines within the building.
