The Baptist Eye Surgery Center, formerly the Foundation for Advance Eye Care, is an ambulatory surgery center that specializes in same-day surgery with ophthalmologists in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties. The ambulatory surgery center, located at 3737 N. Pine Island Road in Sunrise, specializes in cataract surgery and intraocular lens implants, femtosecond laser (optimizes the precision, safety and control of traditional cataract surgery), YAG laser procedures, cornea transplants, blepharoplasty/eyelid revision procedures and retina procedures.
The center operations are majority owned by Baptist Health South Florida, one of America’s preeminent healthcare institutions. Headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, Baptist Health includes 10 hospitals, over 40 physician practices and more than 50 outpatient facilities. Their team includes 19,500 employees and 3,000 physicians in virtually all specialties — many with national and international reputations.

Sunrise is undergoing tremendous population growth.
The property was purchased under the center’s long-term net lease so there was no change to the lease terms. J.H. Winokur represented the sellers, a group of physicians who perform procedures as the center. The purchaser was a private investor.
